As an Early Years Teacher, you will be responsible for high quality teaching and learning, along with directly contributing to and maintaining the successful leadership, management and reputation of your nursery setting. Qualified to degree level with a proven track record, you will inspire, lead and motivate your team whilst drawing on your in-depth knowledge and Early Years’ experience to plan, teach and assess our Pre-School children. Key to the success of this role is balancing the needs of all stakeholders including children, their families, staff and our regulator, Ofsted. You will also be responsible for being a reliable key holder.

Get to know the children, families and staff team at the nursery
Ensure all SEN/ASL needs are identified early
Ensure that ratio and internal regulations are always met

Ensure the Cherubs Nurseries approach and curriculum intent is properly and consistently embedded
Establish and maintain a purposeful learning atmosphere
Regularly update cohort and tracking and analyse to inform future improvements
Be responsible for the nursery’s planning, observations and assessments through Blossom
Commit to continuous improvement, always strive to be and do the best
Be accountable for all key people in the nursery
Ensure the nursery receives excellent (outstanding) outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted
Attend any meetings, training or workshops
Lead any staff meetings relating to teaching and learning
Embrace and implement the Cherubs Nurseries vision, values and brand promises
Embrace any other duties
Build a positive and progressive team environment
Manage the team and organise training/meetings
Challenge any behaviours or practices that go against the Cherubs Nurseries vision
Mentor your team and always demonstrate best practice
Being a reliable key holder
Requirements:
Qualifed Teacher Status (QTS)
Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Qualified to degree level in Early Years or Education
3 years’ experience working in an Early Years Setting or Classroom
2 years’ experience of leading a room or unit within an early year’s environment (Would be advantageous but not essential)
Experience of Safeguarding and/or SENDCo and/or Language Lead
Proven track-record of teaching to a “Good” or “Outstanding” standard in Early Years
