Job Description:

We’re looking for a passionate early years leader to join the management team at our Best Start Family Hub. As a Room Leader, you will lead a team of early years practitioners, ensuring children are happy, safe, loved, and thriving. You will oversee staff in the successful implementation of the daily operations of a room for children aged between 3 months and 8 years, providing full care and education, and ensuring delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. You will supervise, mentor, and support both qualified and unqualified staff, work closely with families, schools, and other local agencies as part of a multi-agency team, and help maintain OFSTED compliance while using resources effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a team of early years practitioners
  • Ensure children are happy, safe, loved, and thriving
  • Oversee staff in the successful implementation of the daily operations of a room for children aged between 3 months and 8 years
  • Provide full care and education
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality teaching and learning
  • Supervise, mentor, and support both qualified and unqualified staff
  • Work closely with families, schools, and other local agencies as part of a multi-agency team
  • Help maintain OFSTED compliance
  • Use resources effectively

Requirements:

  • Passionate early years leader
  • Ability to lead a team of early years practitioners
  • Experience ensuring children are happy, safe, loved, and thriving
  • Experience overseeing staff in daily operations for children aged 3 months to 8 years
  • Experience providing full care and education
  • Experience ensuring delivery of high-quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and support both qualified and unqualified staff
  • Ability to work closely with families, schools, and other local agencies as part of a multi-agency team
  • Ability to help maintain OFSTED compliance
  • Ability to use resources effectively
  • Valid right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory pre-employment checks
  • Enhanced DBS requirement
