Job Description

A lovely small primary school in Horsham is looking for a warm and enthusiastic Early Years & Reception Learning Support Assistant to join their tight‑knit team. You’ll be working closely with the Reception and Early Years team.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting children with early phonics, play‑based learning and early number skills
  • Supporting children with social development, friendships and confidence building
  • Supporting children with fine/gross motor activities
  • Supporting children with learning through play, exploration and curiosity
  • Supporting children with daily routines, transitions and emotional regulation
  • Help create a safe, joyful and stimulating environment where children feel secure, valued and excited to learn

Requirements

  • Experience in Early Years or Reception (school, nursery or childcare)
  • A confident communicator able to support both the teacher and children
  • Someone playful, positive and always ready to jump into activities
  • A team player who understands the importance of routines and early learning milestones
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
