Job Description:

Early Years Educator (SENCO) position at Cherubs Executive House in Bulwell, Nottingham. The role involves providing high-quality early years education and care, with specific responsibilities for Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCO). The nursery follows approaches inspired by Montessori, Hygge, Reggio and Forest School, with a focus on Community Life work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service for children and families
  • Ensure the children’s environment and nursery is kept safe, secure and clean
  • Be a role model for the children
  • Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover
  • Complete Nursery In A Box for all key children
  • Take pride in room and nursery presentation
  • Attend both in-house and external training
  • Assist in planning and delivery of activities
  • Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs
  • Identify and support children with SEND
  • Manage SEND processes and paperwork
  • Ensure compliance and training

Requirements:

  • Qualified Early Years Educator
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Completion of a “Keeping Children Safe” Form
  • DBS check
  • At least 2 satisfactory employment references
  • Some roles may require a 5-year employment history
