Are you a natural leader who finds joy in shaping both the educational growth of children and the professional development of a team? Randstad is in search of a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a highly respected setting in Cambridge, located a short walk from the train station. This full time permanent role offers a unique, balanced structure: three days leading in the rooms, one day dedicated to SEN coordination, and one day for management duties. It is the perfect step for an ambitious professional seeking a role that values both hands-on care and strategic leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee daily operations across three rooms to optimise learning and development
  • Support the Nursery Manager with leadership tasks, including staff scheduling and performance reviews
  • Mentor and coach junior staff to ensure high standards of EYFS delivery
  • Manage administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records and nursery software updates
  • Maintain strong partnerships with parents and guardians regarding progress and transitions
  • Ensure the nursery remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 diploma in childcare (Essential)
  • Leadership and SENCo experience (Highly preferred)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
