Supported by the Training and Development Manager, you will also lead in-house training and workshops. Due to the operational need of the business, this role will involve some evening and weekend work to support the shift patterns of our people. You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel between our nurseries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Induct learners and carry out the initial assessment in accordance with company and awarding body guidelines

  • Keep and maintain accurate records of the learner’s progress on Smart Assessor
  • Complete, maintain and submit accurate records for all learners, as requested by the Operations Manager
  • Provide additional support to learners in-person, on the telephone or virtually
  • Ensure learners and nursery managers are correctly tracking “off the job” training on apprenticeships to ensure compliance
  • Prepare materials suitable for the workplace qualifications and apprenticeships to support the learners in a successful outcome
  • Effectively manage your own diary to ensure you are delivering against your KPIs, arranging and attending scheduled visits in person and online and completing both company and personal administration
  • Participate in the delivery of training relating to relevant workplace qualifications, apprenticeships, and additional programmes and when required to, enhance learning with 1:1 tutoring
  • Demonstrate up to date and thorough working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Development Matters and Cherubs Nurseries’ policies and procedures
  • Participate in IQA activities with a willingness to gain these qualifications if needed in the future
  • Attend Assessor-Coach training and meetings, as required by Cherubs Nurseries and the awarding body
  • Assist the Training and Development Manager in the design and delivery of CPD courses for internal staff
  • Complete at least 20% of contracted hours each week supporting the delivery of our childcare service to enhance your individual knowledge and demonstrate best practice to the learners and wider nursery team
  • Liaise with all stakeholders including nursery managers and academy staff to update on learners progress
  • Escalate any issues as they arise to ensure all learners and nurseries are supported, should anything occur that could negatively affect the learner and/or apprenticeship
  • Celebrate learners success during and at the end of their apprenticeship through personal emails and messages on company forums
  • Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of your duties

Requirements:

  • Level 3-5 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
