Young Academics is offering combined full-time study and work with its reputable service to make a difference and support the team at its Greystanes Centre. As a Trainee Educator at Young Academics, you will begin your career in early childhood education while working alongside experienced educators & teachers. With your genuine passion for working with children, you will develop the skills to create meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role. You will collaborate with fellow educators to build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families and the wider community, fostering a supportive environment that enhances children’s wellbeing, confidence, and lifelong love of learning. This position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract with off-the-floor time to complete your studies.
Job Responsibility:
Work alongside the team to provide high-quality education and care
Develop and deliver an inclusive and innovative program
Learn to create meaningful learning experiences aligned with the EYLF and our service philosophy
Maintain a safe environment by proactively managing risks and adhering to health and hygiene practices
Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements
Build respectful partnerships with children, families and the team
Communicate effectively and maintain professional, supportive relationships
Requirements:
Valid full working rights in Australia
Full-time availability required between 6:00 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday
A demonstrated interest in Early Childhood Education and Care
Currently enrolled in or interested in completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with our preferred training provider
Eligible to apply or hold a valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices
