Developmental Disabilities Association is seeking an on-call Early Childhood Educator to join our Early Learning programs. Our Child Development Centres are fully inclusive, play-based, and family-centred, creating meaningful experiences for all children and families.
Job Responsibility
Provides an enriched program for children which meet the needs of the families in the community
Provides opportunities for children with both typical and special needs to interact on a daily basis
Works in conjunction with the Manager to ensure the needs of the children are met
Requirements
Completion of BC Early Childhood Educator/Assistant Certification, or currently enrolled in ECE Program, and have ECEA certificate in the interim (2 days minimum availability is required)
Criminal Record Clearance
Medical Clearance
Valid First Aid/CPR
Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification (training provided, if needed)
Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
Basic computer literacy
Eligible to work in Canada
Nice to have
Special Needs and/or Under 3 Certification is an asset but not required
