Early Childhood Centre Cook

• Plan, order, and prepare a nutritious, rotating menu for all children in accordance with our health, nutrition, and food safety policies
• Ensure all meals are culturally inclusive, accommodate specific dietary requirements/allergies, and managing stock efficiently to meet budgetary guidelines

• Certificate in Food Handling
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
• First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Completion of Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting online learning (or willingness to obtain)
• Demonstrated background as a Cook or Chef preparing high-volume, nutritious meals in a timely manner
• A sound understanding of the Food Safety Act and strict kitchen hygiene standards
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, children, and families
