Job Description:

Early Careers Trainee Programme starting in August 2026, designed for those ready to take their first step into a rewarding career in accountancy. Combines practical client experience with professional study towards a qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA). Part of the Sumer Academy development programme.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare accounts
  • Support audits
  • Provide tax and business advice
  • Work directly with clients
  • Contribute to real projects

Requirements:

  • Strong A-Level or equivalent academic background
  • Minimum Grade C/5 in English at GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • Minimum Grade B/6 Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent)

  • Act as a first point of contact for early talent enquiries, helping to manage and respond to inbox queries from candidates and colleagues
  • Support relationships with schools, colleges and universities, including careers events and fairs
  • Work with hiring managers and the wider People team to support recruitment activity
  • Help with general administration, project work and improvements to recruitment and onboarding processes
