We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Early Career Academic /Lecturer in Computer Science and Game Design to join the founding academic team at the University of Liverpool’s India Campus. As a Early Career Academic /Lecturer, you will be expected to bring academic rigor, a student first mindset, and a bold, future ready approach to teaching and learning excellence at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and teach modules related to Computer Science and Game Design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Supervise, mentor and advise students on academic related matters
Contribute to module development and design, in addition to both teaching and assessment
Contribute to the enhancement of students’ experience through academic advising, peer mentoring and student belonging initiatives
Work closely with academic organisations in knowledge exchange
Build relationships with external professional and industry organisations
Participate in and contribute to the running of activities in the department by undertaking administrative duties as agreed with the Associate Dean
To attend relevant academic or management committees
Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade as required
Ability to work co-operatively and effectively with colleagues and show enthusiasm for contributing in general to the department and with colleagues based at the home campus
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Adhere to all University policies and procedures, completing all obligatory training and induction modules, including Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety
Respect confidentiality: all confidential information should be kept in confidence and not released to unauthorised persons

Requirements:
PhD in a relevant subject
Ability and enthusiasm to teach Computer Science and Game Design while enhancing the student experience
Ability and willingness to work co-operatively and effectively with colleagues, and enthusiasm for contributing in general to the department
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Ability and willingness to engage with the University’s Student Success Framework, which aims to enhance the student experience through academic advising, peer mentoring and student belonging initiatives
Excellent foundation knowledge required to teach core modules in Computer Science and Game Design
