Job Description:

A modern, supportive Secondary School located in the Borough of Lambeth is looking to fill 2 x Unqualified EAL Student Support positions for an ASAP start. This a perfect opportunity for a graduate who is seeking first-hand experience working with children with additional needs. In an Unqualified EAL Student Support position, you will be supporting children who speak English as a second language and pupils with communication difficulties. This is a long-term role, for the full academic year.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting children with a range of EAL across year groups
Working with children with Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties
Working in a Secondary School with CPD opportunities
Liaising with the Classroom Teacher and SENDCo to ensure the students' needs are being met
1:1 Support for a pupil with communication difficulties
EAL Student Support for two children who's first language is not English

Requirements:

Must have a good degree from a reputable University
Experience in a previous role or personal experience with EAL would be ideal
Passionate about supporting children
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
Calm and compassionate nature

Nice to have:

Experience in a previous role or personal experience with EAL would be ideal
