E911 Dispatcher

• Receiving, dispatching and recording telephone and radio communications, and NCIC and LEAPS communications according to FCC and Dept. regulations
• Dispatching vehicles to calls for assistance
• Keeping police and fire personnel informed of all facts affecting safety or the efficiency of their responses to the call
• Performing all other duties as assigned
• Performing typing and clerical functions
• Must be able to work any of three scheduled shifts
• Flexibility to work overtime when necessary is an essential function of this position

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to type 35 wpm
• Public safety dispatching knowledge of E-911 and computer aided dispatching preferred
