At Airbus UpNext, we fly future technologies at speeds well beyond what seems feasible today. We're looking for passionate individuals to join a new demonstrator project that is shaping the future of sustainable aviation by advancing the aircraft electrification roadmap. This project will focus on the challenges and opportunities of High Voltage Electrical Systems, which are essential for next-generation, low-emission aircraft part of Airbus ambition to electrify the skies. As part of a fast-paced, agile team, you will help create a unique, state-of-the-art test facility from the ground up. Your mission will be to explore novel HV technologies at their limits and beyond, generating invaluable data and learnings needed to build the robust and reliable aircraft of tomorrow by safely testing the unsafe.
Job Responsibility:
Define the Verification & Validation strategy
Translate Top Project Objectives into concrete Test Needs, Test Plans and Test Procedures
Cascade and clarify accepted test needs to the E2E Bench Manager
Lead and steer the demonstration phase managing the execution of complex tests
Assure and track an agile test bench configuration
Manage and clear potential test bench issues
Steer daily test operations, acting as the Test Director
Coordinate the test team, ensure safety protocols are followed
Make real-time GO / NOGO decisions
Manage the analysis of test data to extract key learnings
Prepare the data packages and test reports
Identify and analyze risks & opportunities affecting E2E demonstration phase
Requirements:
Master Degree in Aeronautics, Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience in Lab / Flight / Ground Test Operations
System Verification & Validation for Electrical Systems within the Aerospace or Automotive Industry
Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering (V-cycle), Test Plan definition, execution and steering
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and synthesis capability
Good understanding of electrical phenomena (arc flash, power quality, etc…)
Experience testing under failure conditions
Experience leading test teams in high-paced, high-pressure environments
English at negotiation level

Eagerness to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
