Job Responsibility:
To maintain and coordinate Electrical & Instrument related PM & CM activities of electrical & instrument equipment and thereby improve reliability and plant uptime
Review PM schedule and support subordinates to complete PM through SAP on time and with best engineering standards
Improve the reliability of the electrical & Instrument related equipment of the entire plant
Ensure timely implementation of maintenance activities, reduce PM slippage, reduce MTTR and Increase MTBF
Coordinate outsourced jobs or with suppliers for PM & CM jobs, inspection work, shutdown work and abnormalities and take corrective actions for their elimination
Ensure integrity of all electrical /power distribution equipment and critical instruments/controllers/DCS/UPS systems
Identify and implement best engineering techniques to improve equipment reliability
Vendor development for all critical equipment and services
Conduct incident investigation and root cause analysis, FMEA in case of equipment failure
Implement recommendations and corrective actions
Actively participate in reviews of breakdowns, shutdown losses, maintenance expenditure, repair time, manpower cost, overtime every month and identify activities for improvement
Ensure availability of materials and spare parts before the start of maintenance work in coordination with the Purchase Department
Ensure optimum spares inventory for critical and non-critical equipment
Implementation of all new or modification jobs related to the Electrical & Instrument Department
To ensure timely updating of drawings and other related documents
Project scheduling and contractor management in completing schemes/projects within timeline and budgets
Take lead role in contractor safety management and implementation of standards
Optimize repair and maintenance costs by ensuring best engineering standards without compromising plant safety and equipment reliability
Ensure complete adherence to regulation and safety of electrical system
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrument Engineering
Conversant with DCS/local PLC/Power distribution & Control/UPS etc.
15 Years work experience in electrical and instrument maintenance function in chemical and petrochemical plant is essential
