Job Description

Deliver a sustainable future with WA’s landmark urea project! Clough, as part of a Joint Venture with Saipem, is delivering Project ‘CERES’ urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. We are currently searching for a E&I Construction Engineer on a 19:9 rotation to join our self-performing electrical team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Electrical & Instrumentation, as well as assisting with all engineering queries.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with IFC drawings, specifications, and approved procedures
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity
  • Conduct daily site walks and toolbox meetings
  • Review and interpret: Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Loop diagrams, Instrument hook-up drawings, Cable schedules, Layout drawings
  • Raise RFIs (Requests for Information) where required
  • Coordinate with engineering for design clarifications and field changes
  • Support development and maintenance of E&I construction schedules
  • Identify risks and constraints impacting progress
  • Witness inspections and testing
  • Ensure redline markups are captured for as-built documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (mandatory)
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Experience in an EPC (lump sum) and construction environment highly regarded
  • Experience within oil & gas or ammonia projects highly regarded
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work a 19:9 rotation to site (FIFO)
