Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented E-Commerce Inventory Optimization & Forecasting Manager to take ownership of forecasting SKU-level sales velocities, improving inventory flows, and enabling smarter purchasing decisions across our catalog of 5,000+ SKUs. This role is essential to ensuring operational efficiency and inventory accuracy across our ecommerce channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, demand planning, and ecommerce operations, with a passion for using data to drive impactful outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the SKU velocity modeling process, including removing distortions caused by stockouts and sales spikes
  • Drive and improve the semi-automation of velocity calculations across a catalog of over 5,000 SKUs
  • Optimize on-hand inventory levels by identifying slow movers and executing liquidation strategies
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Marketing teams to strategically launch promotions that move excess inventory
  • Build, maintain, and improve reporting tools to inform purchasing and demand planning decisions
  • Track and present KPIs and progress metrics to leadership in a clear and actionable way
  • Document and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and systems related to velocity management, liquidation, and inventory optimization

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain analytics
  • A proven track record in ecommerce and/or Amazon inventory operations
  • Experience working with large product catalogs (5,000+ SKUs preferred)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – able to translate data into actionable insights
  • High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to roll up your sleeves for detailed execution
  • Advanced Google Sheets skills, including modeling and process automation concepts
  • Experience with forecasting tools
  • exposure to Python, SQL, or BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a strong plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – capable of simplifying complex data
