Our client, is launching a high-profile digital transformation initiative consisting of five major strategic workstreams. We are seeking a seasoned E-commerce Business Analyst to step in as the lead BA for the E-commerce DXP Enablement workstream. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in transitioning traditional marketing-only websites into robust, fully functional transactional e-commerce platforms. You will act as the vital, independent bridge connecting Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Technical Development/Test teams to redefine the brand's digital customer experience. Duration: 6-Month Contract (With a high likelihood of extension) Location: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the Mississauga, ON office preferred; the manager is open to fewer days in-office for the right candidate)
Job Responsibility
Discovery & Journey Mapping: Lead the comprehensive project discovery phase by meticulously mapping out current-state business processes and designing future-state customer journeys (e.g., postal code-driven product assortment and store selection logic)
Requirement Elicitation: Elicit, refine, and document business and functional requirements into highly specific, actionable User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
Architecture & Dev Liaison: Partner closely with Solution Architects to ensure design patterns satisfy business intent. Serve as the primary, go-to functional expert for engineering teams to clarify details throughout the sprint cycles
QA & Traceability: Review automated and manual test scripts generated by the QA team to guarantee 1:1 traceability back to core requirements, providing strategic guidance on high-impact areas for testing
Stakeholder Navigation: Autonomously navigate, align, and manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders across both Business and IT lines without requiring extensive oversight or hand-holding
Requirements
Experience: 8–10 years of progressive Business Analysis experience (Intermediate to Senior level), with a strong pedigree in the Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors
E-commerce Domain Expertise: Deep, verified understanding of e-commerce web portals, including complex underlying logic like discovery engines, dynamic product assortment, and geographic-based pricing/availability
Hybrid Methodologies: Expert-level proficiency working within Agile delivery squads (generating stories/backlogs) that sit inside a broader enterprise Waterfall governance structure
Technical Literacy: Strong ability to hold meaningful, peer-level architectural conversations with Solution Architects, Tech Leads, and Engineering teams
Nice to have
Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or adjacent ecosystems
Familiarity with Omni-channel fulfillment strategies (e.g., BOPIS, ship-from-store)
Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Past success delivering digital platforms for major Tier-1 enterprise retailers
