Job Description:

A long-term client of SEP is looking for an experienced Billing Coordinator to join the team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time position within a large law firm that offers high visibility and plenty of options for growth. This position will manage the legal e-billing process and ensure the timely and accurate submission of invoices within the firm. This is a full cycle billing role, and you're typically working with the legal team, clients, and third-party billing systems. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into a large and prestigious law firm. Alternatively, this would be a great way to break into the billing department at a law firm if you’re currently in AR and wanting to make the switch.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the legal e-billing process
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of invoices within the firm
  • Work with the legal team, clients, and third-party billing systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 18+ months experience in an AR/Billing position
  • Prior experience at a law firm

  • Assist the e-Billing Supervisor and e-Billing team with all electronic on-boarding needs to include, client matter setup and mapping and rate updates/maintenance in the various e-Billing platforms utilized by the firm clients
  • Assist e-Billing team with troubleshooting e-Billing-related issues
  • Transmit electronic billing (“e-Billing”) via eBilling Hub and various e-Billing sites
  • Responsible for recording and maintaining accurate phase, task, and billing codes
  • Assist with e-Billing preparation for more sophisticated e-bills and/or on-demand requirements as available (both manual & electronic)
  • Have direct contact with billing partners to resolve e-Billing-related issues
  • Reprint posted invoices and provide copies, as necessary
  • Produce ad hoc reports as requested
  • Submit Appeals, Accruals and budgets via e-Billing sites
  • Maintaining and adding timekeepers to restricted lists in Time Entry software
