Job Description

We are looking for a Dynamics Developer to join a manufacturing organization in Madison, Wisconsin and play a key role in strengthening its Dynamics 365 and Power Platform landscape. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on platform engineering, building reliable automations, and improving how business users interact with enterprise applications. The position focuses on delivering scalable solutions, strengthening data integrity, and supporting continuous enhancement across connected systems in a collaborative, agile environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Create, configure, and refine Dynamics 365 CE and Dataverse solutions to support evolving business operations
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate flows that streamline manual activities and improve operational efficiency
  • Administer and enhance model-driven applications, including forms, tables, views, business logic, and role-based access
  • Investigate application and workflow issues, identify underlying causes, and implement durable resolutions in production environments
  • Perform light to moderate custom development through plugins, scripting, and related platform extensions as needed
  • Coordinate solution releases and environment updates across development, testing, and production instances
  • Strengthen data accuracy by applying validation controls, duplicate prevention measures, and governance standards
  • Contribute to data retention, archival, and cleanup efforts to support long-term platform health and compliance
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to improve upstream processes and reduce recurring data-related challenges
  • Support integrations between Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and external applications through APIs and connected services

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP/CRM development with strong expertise in Dynamics 365 and Dataverse
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting automations using Microsoft Power Automate
  • Proven ability to configure and support model-driven apps and related platform customizations
  • Working knowledge of integrations, API development, and data exchange with connected systems
  • Experience troubleshooting issues in live environments and restoring stable platform performance
  • Familiarity with plugins, scripting, or other forms of light custom development within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both business users and technical teams

Nice to have

Experience with data modeling, Microsoft Power Apps, and exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central or Finance & Operations is valued
