Job Description

As a Duty Manager you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensuring the effective delivery of a first-class customer experience to all those who visit our centre. You'll be working within our Duty Management Team and directly reporting to the General Manager.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the centre
  • Ensuring effective delivery of first-class customer experience
  • Providing effective leadership and management of Operations Teams
  • Ensuring safety, cleanliness and set up of facilities and equipment
  • Carrying out induction and training of new starters
  • Conducting performance management including 121's, absence, conduct, performance and continuous development
  • Implementing opportunities for improvement
  • Performing other duties as assigned by General Manager

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal, time management and organisational skills
  • Good teamworking skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Business acumen, creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Energy and resilience
  • Adaptability and multi-tasking skills
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Customer-focused, approachable and outgoing
  • Ability to relate to the requirements of customers from all age groups and sectors of society
  • Emergency Response Training – desirable
  • First Aid at Work - desirable
  • Pool Plant Operator – desirable
  • 2+ years’ experience as a manager or team leader, preferably in a leisure environment
