Job Description:

The Duty Manager position at Marriott ensures efficient check-in and check-out processes, guest satisfaction, and financial performance of the department. The role includes maintaining guest services, supporting front desk operations, resolving customer complaints, ensuring exceptional service, and managing projects and policies. Additionally, the Duty Manager will assist with HR activities such as training, mentoring, and hiring.

Job Responsibility:

Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work
Supervises staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
Provides services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
Responds to guest problems and complaints
Trains staff and monitors adherence to credit policies
Supervises daily Front Desk shift operations and ensures compliance with policies, standards, and procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree
1 year experience in the guest services, front desk, or related professional area
2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
no work experience required
