Job Description:

The Botanist Edinburgh are recruiting a full-time Duty Manager to join our high-volume restaurant and bar in the heart of Edinburgh. You will play a key role in running exceptional shifts across our restaurant and bar operations, ensuring every guest enjoys an outstanding experience. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your leadership skills, gain exposure across departments and prepare for the next step in your hospitality management career.

Job Responsibility:

  • Play a key role in running exceptional shifts across restaurant and bar operations
  • Ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding experience
  • Lead from the front on the floor, championing service standards, pace and product knowledge
  • Coach and support the team to perform at their best
  • Ensure service is well organised, efficient and consistently delivers an industry-leading guest journey
  • Take ownership of delegated areas within the restaurant and bar
  • Support rotas, sales driving and team training
  • Help identify and develop team members with potential to progress into supervisory and management roles

Requirements:

  • Experience in a high-volume hospitality environment
  • Currently working as a Duty Manager, Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Restaurant Supervisor or Deputy General Manager
  • Open mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Genuine passion for hospitality
