Job Description:

Randstad are recruiting Duty Supervisors/Managers for Waterworld Aquatic Centre. As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide essential support in managing the Centre's daily operations. This role involves overseeing and supervising the lifeguard team and acting as the primary point of contact in the absence of facility management. Additionally, you will be responsible for the operation of the pool plant rooms, ensuring that water quality and chemistry meet the highest standards in accordance with Swimming Pool Health Standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee staff and programs, ensuring high levels of customer service and facility maintenance
  • Manage rostering, shift swaps, and staff training, particularly for Lifeguards
  • Perform daily plant and water quality checks, complete tasks in the Daily Operations Log, and manage pool plant room activities and chemical management
  • Ensure the facility, equipment, and grounds are clean and well-maintained
  • Provide exceptional service by assisting customers and user groups with their enquiries and resolving any issues they may encounter
  • Maintain safety on deck, apply first aid as required, and act as the principal first aid officer during emergencies. Ensure safety protocols are followed within the aquatic environment
  • Report and communicate accurately with management and address any risks or maintenance needs

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant experience in the Recreation/Aquatics environment
  • Breathing Apparatus Certificate
  • Swimming Pool Plant Operators Certificate - as recognised by The Public & Environmental Health Department of the South Australian Health Commission
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
  • Pool Lifeguard
  • Child Safe Environment Certificate
