Our Duty Trainee is someone who can do it all and is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty or shy away from a challenge. You must be familiar with the company, equipment and emergency procedures. As a Duty Trainee, you have a good knowledge of all operational departments and are happy to help them in times of need! Complaints are a challenge for you because you are an excellent problem solver with a sense of humor and can turn any complaint or issue into a brilliant and spirited experience! Moxy & Residence Inn Houthavens is managed by Vertiq Hospitality Partners, formerly known as Cycas Hospitality, established in 2008. Job Responsibility

  • You will assist in all departments (front office, F&B, housekeeping etc.)
  • You will be able to present yourself as a manager to the guests of the hotel
  • You will learn to deal with guest requests or complaints
  • A duty manager intern is expected to make the right decisions the moment a problem arises
  • You will gain knowledge about the hotel and what to do in emergency situations
  • You do quality rounds and Brand audit checks
  • You will check rooms to verify the outside cleaning company
  • Making orders
  • Other projects
  • You will work early and late shifts, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

  • You are eager to learn and creative
  • You master the English language, Dutch is an advantage
  • You follow a relevant HBO study (hotel - facility - tourism)
  • You are sociable and enjoy working in a diverse team
  • You are flexible and able to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
