Job Description:

Duty Engineer at The Ritz-Carlton Harbin is responsible for ensuring tools, appliances, and equipment are well-maintained, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing guest repair requests. The role involves supervisory duties, adherence to safety standards, and fostering a professional environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and accidents
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
identify and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment
identify and operate all shut-off valves
maintain inventory and purchase orders log
complete the life safety checklist
inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems
speak with others using clear and professional language
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Nice to have:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
at least 2 years of related work experience
at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
