Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Due Diligence Consultant in Financial Crimes Operations (FCO) as part of Shared Services Operations (SSO) within the Chief Operations Office (COO). This role involves mitigating risk through client due diligence processes in financial crimes operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own client onboarding process to mitigate risk through a due diligence process
  • Participate in conducting less complex client due diligence processes, research and identify opportunities to mitigate risk
  • Consult and provide support to interpret policies, guidelines and governance programs
  • Support business in execution of due diligence reporting processes and controls
  • Review and analyze client onboarding processes or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
  • Exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Aggregate, evaluate and report results and escalate where necessary
  • Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the due diligence function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Manage individual pipeline (New/In Progress / escalations & roadblocks)
  • Provide input / contribute to pipeline management process
  • Escalate issues for resolution proactively and promptly
  • Identify area for improvement within the FCO process
  • Maintain and strengthen domain knowledge
  • stay up to date on all guidance and process changes
  • Develop strong relationships with internal / external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Due Diligence experience, or equivalent (including risk management, client service, operations support, or business process management) demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Experience managing a pipeline of work
  • Ability to meet production and quality standards
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to document and describe complex transactions and manage due diligence
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, and effectively manages work requests to meet performance expectations
  • Experience working with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations
  • Experience using Wells Fargo Cornerstone system
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
