Job Description:

We are currently hiring a Dual Ticket Millwright / Electrician (433A & 442A) for our Brampton manufacturing facility. This is a leading packaging manufacturing company with locations all over the GTA. This position is ideal for a licensed skilled trades professional with strong mechanical and electrical expertise supporting high-speed packaging and manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-speed packaging and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose equipment failures, irregularities, and performance issues
  • Install, align, and commission mechanical and electromechanical equipment
  • Complete electrical troubleshooting on motors, controls, sensors, and automation-related components
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls and breakdowns
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and uptime
  • Perform safety upgrades and mechanical/electrical modifications to equipment
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams
  • Follow all quality, food safety, and health & safety standards

Requirements:

  • Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license
  • Valid 442A or 309A Electrician license
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with high-speed packaging or food manufacturing equipment
  • Solid knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency calls outside scheduled shifts when required

  • Carry out daily checks on all plant and critical assets and report finding to Engineering Supervisor
  • Complete PPM works on self-delivered assets and systems in accordance with contractual obligation and SLAs
  • Planning and Supporting Specialist contractor PPM and Reactive Works, ensuring RAMS and client approvals are in place with relevant stakeholder communication ahead of commencement
  • Take ownership of areas (including all plant rooms) under INTEGRAL control, ensuring they are brought up too and maintained to the required standards
  • Ensure that all contractor worksheets are signed off on completion of works, that quality of work has been inspected, and recommendations are proactively communicated to the Engineering supervisor
  • Review service reports following contractor visits, actively chase any recommendations/follow up actions
  • Tend to the day-to-day reactive operation of the building including client comfort, specialist extract systems, HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire systems etc
  • Emergency response and escalations for all critical alarms when on duty
