Job Description

A leading food manufacturing facility is seeking a licensed Dual Ticket Maintenance Technician with strong industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities to support high-speed production operations. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional experienced in preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, PLC troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. Location - Mississauga Shift - Day Shift Pay Rate - $48-50/hr +

Job Responsibility

  • Perform preventive, predictive, reactive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-related issues to minimize downtime
  • Support high-speed manufacturing lines and ensure maximum equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and repair documentation through CMMS systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams on technical projects and operational improvements
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities during off-shift or weekend coverage as required
  • Work alongside external contractors and equipment vendors during projects and shutdowns
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance procedures, SOPs, and technical training documentation

Requirements

  • Valid Industrial Electrician 442A or 309A license required
  • Valid Industrial Millwright 433A license required
  • Previous maintenance experience within food, beverage, packaging, or consumer goods manufacturing environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving PLCs, motors, sensors, drives, conveyors, and automated production equipment
  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments with changing priorities
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Flexible to support overtime and weekend maintenance coverage when required
