As a qualified Mechanical & Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for keeping an operational fleet of rail vehicles operational and safe. Job Responsibility:
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and complex repairs on a large fleet of rail vehicles
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out essential pre-use checks on tools and equipment
Support key tasks such as topping up fuel and sand levels
Adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures
Ensure all relevant documentation and asset management systems are accurately completed
Requirements:
Qualified Mechanical & Electrical Technician
Background in heavy maintenance (e.g., HGV maintenance, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, armed forces, REMEs)
Transferable skills in heavy maintenance
Natural problem-solver
Ability to pass a basic DBS check
Ability to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
Ability to pass a full rail medical
