Job Responsibility
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive, and practical DT lessons primarily tailored to KS3 cohorts
Student Assessment: Regular marking, constructive feedback, and thorough tracking of student progress to optimise academic growth
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all tools, machinery, and CAD/CAM equipment are maintained in a safe, fully operational condition
Curriculum Collaboration: Work alongside the Art & Design faculty to develop innovative resources and share best practices
Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous workshop safety rules consistently to guarantee the physical welfare of all peers and students
Inclusivity Promotion: Design tailored learning pathways to ensure students with SEND and additional needs achieve maximum success
Pastoral Care: Act as a positive role model, championing the school's commitment to mental health, safety, and mutual respect
Resource Management: Monitor and manage material stock levels, preparing materials efficiently ahead of practical sessions
Parental Engagement: Provide clear, professional updates on student progress during parent evenings and through written reports
Extra-Curricular Support: Contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting design clubs, exhibitions, or open evenings.
