Job Responsibility

Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach across material areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics or systems, depending on specialism
Prepare pupils for practical and written assessments, including GCSE DT
Ensure safe use of tools, machinery and workshop equipment in line with Health and Safety and CLEAPSS guidance
Develop pupils’ design thinking, problem‑solving and practical manufacturing skills
Maintain an organised, safe and well‑resourced workshop or classroom environment
Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of all abilities
Support curriculum development and contribute to departmental planning
