Job Responsibility:
Champion safety by maintaining high standards and ensuring full compliance with policies and regulations
Lead, coach, and support your team to deliver top-tier performance in kiln operations
Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with preventative maintenance to keep operations running efficiently
Oversee the loading and unloading of lumber with precision and care
Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to meet and exceed operational goals
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity
Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
3-5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment, with a strong safety-first mindset
Solid understanding of heating systems and power equipment
kiln experience in lumber manufacturing is a strong asset
Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance in high-paced settings
Strong computer proficiency, including web-based tools and Microsoft Office
Maintenance experience is a plus
Grade 12 diploma, GED, or equivalent training (e.g., OSHA tickets, forklift certification)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
Nice to have:
