PAK’nSAVE Queenstown - DRY GOODS SUPERVISOR - This full-time position is a great opportunity for an experienced team leader or supervisor who excels at motivating people, enjoys working across multiple areas and shows excellent attention to detail. Reporting to the Dry Goods and Operations Managers, the Supervisor is responsible for the combined control of our team to ensure all orders are accurately received into store and our shelves are filled and merchandised to prescribed standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Effectively supervising a diverse team to achieve retail merchandising standards, including overseeing staff training and development
  • Communicating with personnel across multiple levels of the business to ensure efficient operations and stock movements
  • Coordinating inwards goods, storeroom, retail filling and fuel site processes
  • Unloading freight and receipting orders into the business
  • Moving stock throughout the business including using forklifts and manual handling work
  • Providing outstanding customer service
  • Complying with and actively promoting food safety and health and safety procedures throughout the supermarket

Requirements:

  • Hold or obtain a valid Forklift License and First Aid Certificate
  • NZ Register Level 2 or 3 qualification or at least one year of experience supervising and/or leading staff
  • Previous experience supervising and/or leading staff
  • Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift heavy items (up to 15kg)
  • Availability to work: Monday – 1:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Tuesday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Wednesday – OFF
  • Thursday – OFF
  • Friday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Saturday - 1:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Sunday - 2:30pm – 12:00am (midnight)
