Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Drivers Mate to join our team. You will assist the driver in delivering orders from the Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring orders are delivered on time and that every customer receives excellent service. You will also support the wider delivery operation through accurate picking, packing, stock replenishment, and maintaining depot standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the driver during multi-drop deliveries, ensuring all orders are handled safely and correctly
  • Work with the depot team to ensure all orders loaded for delivery are accurate
  • Handle stock on and off vehicles, following manual handling best practices
  • Ensure delivery paperwork is completed correctly and payments are received
  • Pick and pack stock at the agreed rate within the depot
  • Maintain vehicle and depot housekeeping standards at all times
  • Manage temperatures for chilled and frozen deliveries
  • Ensure damages are dealt with in the correct manner
  • Provide excellent service to customers and support smooth on-road and in-depot operations
