This role plays a crucial part in our logistics and transportation operations, ensuring that our vehicles and goods are moved safely and efficiently. Job Responsibility:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods and materials to assigned locations within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure all deliveries are accurate and complete, handling paperwork such as delivery notes and manifests
  • Reporting any defects or incidents promptly
  • Comply with all relevant traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Paul Rigby Ltd professionally
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents during driving shifts
  • Work collaboratively with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type you will be operating
  • Proven experience as a driver, preferably in the automotive or logistics sectors
  • Good knowledge of local roads and routes in Staffordshire and surrounding areas
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including loading and unloading
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for handling delivery documentation
  • Flexible approach to working hours as required by the part-time schedule
