Job Description

We are currently looking for a Driver to support our Hardcrete business at our Luton Concrete Plant, Bedfordshire. Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, within our recently acquired Hardcrete division you’ll never be treated like just a number. You’ll be working locally and be the face of our business, Monday to Friday with core working hours of 7:00am to 4:30pm, with occasional Saturday mornings.

Job Responsibility

  • Liaise with Distribution colleagues daily
  • Use local knowledge to get orders delivered safely and efficiently
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

  • A HGV Class 2/Class C licence
  • Good communication skills

  • Be accessible to the management team during working hours via cell phone and/or pager or other means in the event of changes to schedule or unforeseen circumstances arise
  • Ensure the bus and/or other vehicles are clean
  • Timely completion and submission of paperwork related to the performance of job duties as required by operations procedures, or as requested
  • May be assigned to other job functions in the community when not driving or on a relief basis
  • Other duties as assigned.
