Job Description

Heart of Kent Hospice is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Driver's Assistant (Bank) to support our Transport and Logistics team on an ad‑hoc basis. This is a varied, hands-on role that plays a vital part in supporting our retail operations and helping us raise funds for our hospice services.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with the delivery and collection of stock, including donated furniture and other goods
  • Load and unload vehicles safely and securely
  • Help maintain organisation, cleanliness and standards within the warehouse
  • Promote Hospice shops as a vital fundraising activity and support local promotional events
  • Drive Hospice vehicles when required
  • Work both as part of a team and independently when needed
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Hospice policies, procedures and health & safety requirements

Requirements

  • A practical, physically active individual with a positive and flexible approach
  • Good teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required
  • Commitment to high standards of health and safety
  • Willingness to undertake training, including mandatory and statutory training
  • A passion for supporting the values, purpose and caring mission of Heart of Kent Hospice

  • In conjunction with head coach, oversee and evaluate assistant coaches, student assistants, and volunteers
  • Organize and implement a successful recruiting program which attracts academically and athletically gifted prospects—with an unwavering commitment to retention, degree completion and academic success
  • Conduct all aspects of the program within the rules, regulations, and procedures of the NCAA, conference, athletic department policy manual and the College
  • Encourage and create an atmosphere of sportsmanship, professionalism and respect among the Cross Country Track & Field staff, coaches and student-athletes
  • Commitment to student-athlete safety and welfare as it pertains to all aspects of intercollegiate Cross Country Track & Field
  • Manage team needs within parameters of annual budget
