Job Description:

Are you a skilled driver with a "hands-on" technical mindset? We are looking for a reliable Driver/Fitter to join our events team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety-combining professional driving with the installation and repair of event lighting equipment. Contract role with high potential for extension or perm conversion.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive company vehicles (Class 1) to deliver lighting towers and materials to event sites
  • Assemble, dismantle, and perform on-site repairs of lighting setups
  • Ensure all equipment is fitted securely and conduct pre-event safety checks
  • Work with the production team to ensure high-quality setups and provide great customer service to clients
  • Assist with maintaining tools and equipment when not on the road

Requirements:

  • Full, clean Class 1 driving licence is required
  • Background as a Driver/Fitter, ideally within events, exhibitions, or construction
  • Ability to follow technical drawings/plans and basic computer skills (Excel)
  • Physically fit, proactive problem-solver, and a strong team player
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
