The Driver Development Coach is responsible for delivering driver development training in compliance with company, federal, and state regulations. This individual will also assess and instruct drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles both in the truck and in a training environment while maintaining accurate records of all training to foster an encouraging development environment.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct driver-facing training in the classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on settings
Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions in the appropriate systems
Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats
Ability to coach in an open, strategic, and collaborative discussion with safety as the number one goal
Review camera-generated events and provide drivers with insight on situations and behaviors
Coach/Counsel Drivers in collaboration with Operations and Safety for violations of DOT Regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Conduct on-road tests and other evaluations with drivers to determine if drivers meet MVT’s skills standards and follow safety
Model safe behaviors and professional interactions
In-depth knowledge of fuel efficiency tactics and ability to coach drivers in improving MPG’s

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Class A-CDL (Required)
Experience and/or training in the transportation industry
Minimum of 3 years in OTR experience and or a combination of teaching/training and driving
Nice to have:
Computer-savvy individual that is able to work with different systems & troubleshoot driver log-in issues
