Job Description

At Smith & Brock, our drivers are the face of our business. Founded with a clear and simple value, to have the best people delivering the best produce with the best service, we believe in integrity, reliability, and pride in everything we do. As a driver, you are often the first and sometimes the only team member our customers interact with. That’s why your attitude, appearance, and professionalism matter just as much as what’s in the van. We’re now looking for dedicated, responsible Delivery Drivers to join our team. You’ll be delivering fresh fruit and vegetables to some of the UK’s leading restaurants and hospitality venues. This is more than a driving job — it’s about representing Smith & Brock with pride, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver high-quality fresh produce to our customers on a multi-drop route around London
  • Represent Smith & Brock with professionalism and courtesy at every delivery
  • Load and unload your vehicle with care, ensuring orders are accurate and secure
  • Complete pre- and post-vehicle checks and report any defects
  • Maintain cleanliness of your vehicle and personal appearance — always in uniform
  • Follow scheduled routes and comply with road safety and food handling regulations
  • Support the warehouse or assist with loading if needed

Requirements

  • A valid UK driving licence (Category C1 as minimum)
  • Experience driving in London or similar areas
  • Excellent personal presentation and willingness to wear company uniform
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Punctual, respectful, and professional attitude
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Team player, flexible and reliable

Nice to have

Multi-drop or food delivery experience is a bonus

What we offer

  • £30 per week driver bonus
  • Overtime over 45 hours paid at 1.5x
  • Weekly free grocery shop worth £25 (at company price) — including fresh veg and fruit
  • 30% off at Sylva Café
  • Career development, many of our drivers grow into other roles
  • A respectful and supportive workplace where pride, integrity, and teamwork matter
