Job Responsibility

Remove drapery from rack carefully, and place on pleat marker table
Read work ticket for special instructions and sign work ticket
Check work ticket for width, special returns, and special instructions
Subtract returns and overlaps from widths of drapery, look in pleat mark book for reading and correct number to mark drapery
Spread drapery out on table, clamp down with holders on each side of drapery, set returns, adjust seams, and mark drapery for pleat with invisible chalk
Seam fold each drapery and place on finish rack by date card numbers on corresponding work ticket
Report any defectiveness of drapery and any questions about drapery to supervisor, or placed on a hold rack in a designated area to be checked by supervisor
Ensure drapery is correct by pleat marker before releasing to the next step for operation
Remove drapery from rack carefully, and place on grommet machine
Punch holes for metal grommets
