Job Description:

Are you passionate about creativity and performance, and driven to inspire learners through expressive arts? GSL Education are appointing a committed Drama Teacher to deliver engaging and imaginative learning experiences. The role is based in Rotherham, supporting schools across the communities of S65 and S66. As a Drama Teacher, you will build confidence, collaboration, and self‑expression through practical activities and performances, while developing learners’ communication skills in a supportive, inclusive classroom.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama-based lessons and activities
  • Encourage participation, creativity, and teamwork
  • Support learners in developing confidence and presentation skills
  • Maintain positive behaviour and an inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to work effectively as a Drama Teacher
  • Clear communication and confident classroom management skills
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
