Job Description:

Are you a creative and inspiring Drama Teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role? Do you enjoy bringing the performing arts to life and supporting students across a range of abilities? Affinity Workforce Solutions is delighted to be recruiting a Drama Teacher for Gloucester Academy, starting after Easter. This supply position will run for a full academic year, with the possibility of part-time working. The timetable may be 3 or 4 days per week, and the confirmed day with no teaching requirement is Tuesday.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching Drama at KS3 and GCSE Drama
  • Delivering engaging lessons that foster creativity and confidence
  • Running extracurricular Drama clubs
  • Supporting with the school production, rehearsals, and performance work
  • Working collaboratively with the performing arts department
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment and motivating students

Requirements:

  • Passionate about Drama, performance, and creative education
  • Confident teaching KS3 & GCSE Drama
  • Able to lead clubs and contribute to wider school life
  • Skilled at managing behaviour and building strong relationships
  • Flexible, reliable, and supportive within a school environment
  • Comfortable adapting to supply teaching needs
  • Enhanced DBS

Nice to have:

  • Experience delivering Drama GCSE content
  • Previous involvement in school productions or performing arts events
  • Strong communication and creative lesson-planning skills
