Job Description:

Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia’s leading residential construction and property development companies, is looking for a detail-oriented Drafting Manager to join our team at our Norwest Head Office. As the Drafting Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the drafting team to ensure timely, accurate and compliant documentation across tender, contract and construction stages. The role ensures all plans align with building regulations, internal policies and customer requirements while upholding quality, consistency and operational efficiency. This includes managing workflow to deliver consistent work allocation across Tenders, Contracts, DA/CDC Lodgements and FTC KPIs. In addition to people leadership, the Drafting Manager drives workflow management, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration and technical accuracy across the department. You will act as the escalation point for drafting queries, coach and team development ensuring a high performing, engaged team culture.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of drafting professionals
  • Oversee and manage the full drafting lifecycle across all project stages
  • Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with NCC, BCA, council regulations and developer guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement in drafting processes and templates
  • Collaborate with departments including Sales, Estimating, Colour Studio, Construction, and Permits
  • Monitor and manage drafting workflows using systems such as ClickHome
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical queries
  • Manage external drafting resources to balance capacity with forecasted workload

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience in residential drafting including DA/CDC, contracts and construction documentation
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing a team of drafting professionals to ensure high performance and engagement
  • Proficiency with drafting software and systems, specifically ClickHome, and managing drafting workflows
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction practices, codes, and planning frameworks
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver
  • Able to balance team development with operational delivery
