Job Description:

You will be responsible for developing shop drawings in AutoCad with Microvellum from architectural and designer level drawings. You will be expected to have some understanding of cabinet making and woodworking and be able to detail the appropriate materials (Solid wood, plywood, particle board, laminate, plastic, veneer etc.) and required construction methods for production to follow in order to construct various custom millwork.

Job Responsibility:

Developing shop drawings in AutoCad with Microvellum from architectural and designer level drawings
Detail the appropriate materials (Solid wood, plywood, particle board, laminate, plastic, veneer etc.) and required construction methods for production to follow in order to construct various custom millwork

Requirements:

Candidate must have minimum 1 years experience in the woodworking industry
2 years of experience working with CAD
Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a desire to grow a career in the industry
Currently reside in Canada and be legally eligible to be employed
Ability to create shop drawings for production from Architectural or concept design level drawings
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
Strong mathematical ability
Fundamental understanding of the properties of solid wood and manufactured wood products
Knowledge of Imperial and Metric units of measure and how to accurately convert between the two
Reliable and detail oriented

Nice to have:

Hands-on floor experience an asset
