Dpw Mechanic

The town of Paxton is seeking applicants for the Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Operator in the department of Public Works (DPW). Candidates must have experience in all phases of troubleshooting, diagnostics and general repairs of diesel heavy equipment and trucks. Candidates will be expected to perform work on DPW fleet as well as various other types of municipal vehicles and equipment. Candidate may work with crews to perform duties such as operating heavy equipment, truck driving and manual labor in the field. Candidates may be required to work evening and weekend hours and are required to participate in winter operations and be part of an on-call rotating list. Pay range is $24.60 to $34.05, depending on licenses and qualifications.
