Job Description:

This is a 1099 independent contractor role serving Pomelo patients to improve outcomes for pregnant people and babies. The role involves providing evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale through a technology-driven platform.

Job Responsibility:

Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period
Ensure families feel supported and empowered to improve birth outcomes

Requirements:

Completed certification/training as a birth and/or full spectrum doula
Experience working as a doula with an in-depth understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds both virtually and in-person
Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems
Have availability for virtual and in-person work, as well as evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of families
Doula certification/training
NPI number
Adult & Infant CPR & First Aid Certification
Illinois Medicaid-Certified Doula Program certificate
IL Medicaid Enrollment
Must complete an OIG background screening
