Requirements

Bachelors degree in a physical science or RTT and a graduate of a formal, JRCERT dosimetry program
MDCB Certified Medical Dosimetrist
Direct dosimetry experience and Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certified required
Minimum Required Experience: 5 years
Experience with multiple treatment planning platforms, excellent communication skills, and leadership skills is preferred
RTT experience from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is preferred
A M.Sc.is preferred

Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologists and general supervision of the Medical Physicists, the primary role of the dosimetrist is to initiate and see-through the treatment planning process for external beam photon treatment plans
Aid in special procedures and brachytherapy treatment planning
Provide training to dosimetrists, physicists, radiation oncologists and affiliate trainees in dosimetry
Supports and adheres to BHSF safety and compliance program to include OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics
