Job Description:

Doorman position at Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel responsible for greeting guests, assisting with luggage, providing information about hotel amenities and local areas, arranging transportation, and ensuring guest satisfaction through professional service.

Job Responsibility:

Greet and escort guests to rooms
Open doors and assist guests/visitors
Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours
Explain room features to guests
Transport guest luggage to/from rooms
Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
Assist guests in/out of vehicles with luggage
Supply guests with directions
Arrange transportation for guests
Communicate parking procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
Maintain awareness of undesirable persons
Ensure uniform and appearance are professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests
Assist individuals with disabilities
Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
Develop positive working relationships

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats
Physical ability to move at required speeds (run, walk, jog)
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Reach overhead and below knees with bending, twisting, pulling, stooping
